Official Requirements (KVAC / Korean Missions)

  • Size: 3.5×4.5cm (35×45mm) — one colour photo, glued onto the Form 17 application
  • Background: white or close to white, no borders
  • Head height: 28–33mm from chin to crown
  • Margins: crown to top edge 3–5mm; chin to bottom edge at least 7mm
  • Pose: neutral expression, eyes open, mouth closed, ears visible; head tilt ≤20° (yaw/roll), ≤25° (pitch)
  • Recency: taken within the past 6 months
  • Glasses: OK if untinted, with no glare and no frames over the eyes
  • Head coverings: religious only
  • Appearance: natural skin tone, no visible distortion of facial features

Watch the Margins, Not Just the Size

The Korean-mission photo sheet is unusually specific about composition: head height 28–33mm, 3–5mm of space between the crown and the top edge, and at least 7mm between the chin and the bottom edge. A correctly-sized 35×45mm print can still fail if these margins are off.
